新型コロナワクチンの定期接種について、厚生労働省は、接種を10月1日をめどに始める方針を決定した。
新型コロナワクチンは、2023年度まで、全額公費負担で無料での接種が行われてきたが、この秋からは、季節性インフルエンザと同様に、原則、接種費用の一部自己負担が求められる「定期接種」で行われる。
接種の自己負担額は自治体によって異なるが、最大7000円で、国が接種1回当たり8300円を各地の自治体に助成する。
定期接種の対象者は、『65歳以上の高齢者』と『60歳から64歳の重症化リスクが高い人』で、これ以外の人は「任意接種」となるため、原則、全額が自己負担であり、費用は7000円を超える見通しだ。
